Hiking up Half Dome in Yosemite is difficult and scary, but with some determination, planning, and patience, it can be done in one day, but I do not suggest a 16-mile roundtrip hike in one day. Its so steep and strenuous, it just takes the fun out of it.

We opted for a 3-day, 2-night loop starting on a Friday at Glacier Point, down the Panorama trail, to Little Yosemite Campground where we stayed two nights, summiting Half Dome for sunset on Saturday night, then down the Mist Trail on Sunday morning. It was pretty Epic!
